On 22 of January 2015, Microsoft Portugal is organising a new IT Pro Airlift 2015 – – Microsoft Data Platform event. This event is targeted for those who are using or curious about Microsoft SQL Server, Azure and overall offerings from Microsoft Data Platform. With topics ranging from Stream Analytics, AzureML, DocumentDB to Columnstore Indexes, Azure Search, In-Memory OLTP, SQL Server Upgrade, PowerBI between others, this is a 3 track event targeting .
I am extremely happy to see bigger Microsoft events in my home country – there are not too many of them and I truly miss TechDays, which have not been organised for the last 5 years, since 2010.
SQLPort will be present at the event with a small table, promoting our activities in 2015.
We shall hold our 62nd meeting at the auditorium of Microsoft Portugal, right after the end of this event.
This will be a very important meeting – where a lot of things for the future of the Portuguese Microsoft Data Platform Community will be revealed.
From my side, I will be delivering a session on ETL for Columnstore – where I will explain how to achieve the best performance possible for BI & DatawareHousing using Columnstore Indexes, and some new & exciting stuff will be shown there for the first time.
