20 Years of Blogging

20 years of blogging.
With interruptions (voluntary or forced – but all in my responsibility), with blocks of high activity and relatively low activity.
I have started on the 13th of January 2006 and today, on the 18th of January 2026 – I am still planning new posts on Columnstore Indexes, on Vector Indexes (Have been playing a lot with them and I just might build a whole series on them), on AI, on Analytics, on Product Management, on Accessibility, on Leadership and many other things that pass through my mind. Right now I have 61 draft posts with realistic ones being around 56 (some of the old ones I will probably never finish).

There won’t be a comparison of the number of posts from the first 10 years to the past 10 years, since obviously I have been blogging more in the first decade. The exact amount does not matter, since the quality and the quantity are way to frequently opposing forces.
Like many other authors, I write things that I am interested in and that serve myself as a reference. I just wish that in another decade I can look at my site and feel that I did a decent job and pushed myself forward.

I strongly believe in contributing back to the society, and if someone finds my ramblings interesting and useful – I feel a little bit more of a good human.
If someone finds that I simply wasted “whitespace” – that is wonderful as well. This means we have opposite views, which is a great discussion point.
Your feedback is welcome in the form of your own writings on your own spaces. This site does not do public service, nor does it do a commercial one.

With that – I am going back to my unfinished Columnstore post that I really want to publish today. :)
